This is one of the more common questions we get throughout the year.

The short and easy answer is yes, it does apply to vehicles. The critical thing to remember is that when you are looking at the state code, there is a list of exemptions to needing a permit, and in this case, the relevant code (exemption to not needing a permit) can be found in 18-3302(4)f:

“Any deadly weapon concealed in a motor vehicle;”
