Four innocent New Yorkers have been killed in a shooting in a Manhattan office building.

New York has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. Despite the suspect coming from Nevada, it is clear that gun laws will not stop someone hell-bent on harming others.

Shane Devon Tamura is the suspect who is alleged to have carried out the crime. He was also allegedly placed on psychiatric holds in 2022 and 2024.

Although Tamura may have gone to New York from Nevada to allegedly target the NFL HQ, one thing is clear: no amount of gun control laws implemented by New York helped those innocent victims defend themselves.

Tamura shot himself in the chest and was pronounced dead on the scene.
