In what has to be one of the most bizarre additions to the Idaho Anti‑Gun Accountability Center, a Nampa gun store has now joined the list.
No, that’s not a typo. Yes, it really is a gun shop.
Alpha Omega Services Armageddon Armory in Nampa has the strangest firearm‑related signage (all 3 signs posted at the end of the article) we’ve ever seen. The store prohibits open carry, discourages bringing firearms inside at all, and then posts a third sign saying concealed carry is allowed, as long as it stays concealed. If you’re confused, you’re not alone.
Three signs on the front windows deal with firearm handling, and none of them agree with each other. One sign tells you to leave your gun in your vehicle if you want to bring one in, and then notify sales staff for a “safety check.” It’s unclear whether the staff are supposed to walk outside to your car, perform the safety check in the parking lot, and then escort you back inside.
Another sign says that if you’re bringing a gun into the store, you must get help from sales staff before entering. So what exactly is a patron supposed to do, crack the door open and yell for a safety check?
Finally, a third sign says concealed carry is allowed, but only if the firearm remains concealed. So does this happen after you’ve left your gun in the car, completed the safety check, and then reholstered your firearm to bring it inside? The entire process reads like a bad comedy sketch.
What’s worse, the Google reviews for this shop are shocking for a gun store in Idaho. In Idaho, a gun shop should have stellar reviews, because it’s Idaho. How do you mess up being a gun shop in Idaho?
The store sits at a 2.2 out of 5 stars from 172 reviews (as of this writing), by far the lowest we’ve ever seen. And it’s not even close.
Most negative reviews mention someone known only as the “bearded guy.” According to customers, staff follow you around like you’re a criminal and yell at you if they notice you’re carrying a firearm.

Gregory Douglas: “This store is a joke. Most everything they sell is extremely low end. Poor selection of new firearms. Don’t come here expecting friendly service either. They are very cold and pretentious. Which is surprising for a low end shop. By far the worst in the valley.”
Eddie (excerpt): “By far the absolute WORST gun store in the valley! I was followed around the store for almost 10 minutes… I asked if I was doing something wrong, he said, ‘Not yet.’ … The bearded guy (owner) proceeded to tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about… He cuts me off and yells, ‘The manufacturer don’t know what they’re talking about!’ Then he asks if I’m buying anything, and before I could answer he tells me to leave.”
Riley Bryant (excerpt): “Zero stars. I’ve had the same or very similar experience to every negative comment you read here… I heard him tell a mom and her two adult sons that ‘don’t buy a SIG, if you break a single part you will not be able to buy a replacement part at all.’ I pulled up Sig’s website to show them parts are available. He yelled at me that I’m lying and they will never sell a SIG to anybody.”
There are some positive reviews, but they are few and far between.
While it’s not uncommon to see big corporate stores like Walmart post anti‑gun restrictions while still selling firearms, seeing a local gun shop adopt anti‑gun rules, and ones that don’t even make sense, is something else entirely.
And the signage doesn’t stop there. The front of the building is plastered with a dozen other notices, including one stating that minors under 18 cannot enter without a parent. So a 17‑year‑old Idaho kid can legally buy a holster, but apparently can’t walk into this store to do it. What exactly are these people doing?
We even asked several AI models to explain the signs, and needless to say, even AI was confused about what the signs were asking. All AI models said the signs all contradicted each other.
Regardless of what the store sells, it is going on our anti-gun list, and we do not make exceptions simply because it is a gun shop.

They sound paranoid, they are likely to be the one that shoots someone. I would just pass those weirdos up and go to another store for my own safety.
The person that owns that place is just crazy old guy, he’s a little odd. I wouldn’t be so extreme towards blackballing the whole store. The signs are stupid and I don’t agree with what he posted. But maybe he needs to be encouraged to take the signs down and not be so extreme. I believe he is just paranoid and thinks someone is going to attempt to rob him at gunpoint. Because this guy rather covets everything he has in the store and the prices say so lol.
Well, we aren’t even calling for a boycott. They have been in business for 21 years, so they must have a lot of loyal customers. Just trying to give gun owners a list of stores that have anti-gun policies versus ones that do not. By the sound of it, I’m not sure anyone will get through to the guy, but if someone does, let us know!
you cannot “encourage” crazy to do anything different. in addition to apparently being nutzo in his own store, he is no different with his vendors. speaks down to women. cannot imagine being his poor wife. I’m 100% for this ban. not sure how he stays open.
This shop has been the worst for a very long time. It’s been years since I’ve been in there because they will tell customers not to buy a gun if they don’t have it in the store. They will argue and yell at you for anything. I’ve only been there once and that was one to many times. Not sure how they stay in Buisness.
I went in there once years ago and as soon as I walked in I got followed around and asked what I wanted.I then replied I have never been here before and wanted to see what u guys got. I got told to either buy something or leave so I left. never went back after that. I am not surprised to hear all of the bad reviews seems to be a pattern.

And why the signs are up is irrelevant to adding them to the anti-gun page. They have a policy of restricting the right to carry. It doesn’t matter what the excuse is.

The bearded guy is not the owner he has everything in his wife’s name so she takes the fall for anything. He has her brain washed. Says he is a former government agent and has ID for that??
He mentally abused me so bad, said I was stealing everything including guns. I am still on meds and ptsd cause of that place.
He is ducking nuts. Charges full MSRP especially on the cheap Chinese stuff like NsStar. bulldog holster… everyone cuts the price on that stuff.
I’m not the only one that has left there for the bad work environment. They tried paying one guy in product at retail value when shop income was low. By the way he was paying us as subcontractors so they didn’t pay our taxes SSI and unemployment insurance. He controlled our pay, schedule, rules of conduct…. violated OSHA rules…( fixed items for a short time after reports ) I lost unemployment when I left and lost disability amount cause they didn’t pay into social security. And SSA took over a year to confirm we were employed. Those rules newly posted have been in effect over ten years!
Someone trying to bring in a firearm we had to jump and clear it outside.

Oh wow. That’s quite the story. Doesn’t sound like the greatest place to work, and it sounds like the vast majority of customers that have left reviews say he is quite unpleasant.
Greg as one of the premier Idaho 2A advocates, maybe you can talk some sense into him. Long time subscriber and fan. But I’ve have done many transactions with Omega over the last 20 years and every transaction there was exactly as described in every one of the reviews. Terry Hover worked for him for several years I knew Terry pretty well so I would go in just to see and buy from him. A few years ago I went in to see Terry and the owner told me that he quit and has now Transitioned into a woman. I don’t but that for a second. But it seems par for the course with the owner. On more than one occasion he’s talked shit on Glock and Sig to me.”They’ll blow up on you”, I run both, and used both in the military as well with no issues.
You are supposed to walk in and notify them you have a gun you want to bring in. Don’t open the door and yell or the old guy will literally bite your head off. They will walk out to your car and inspect it. The old guy is beyond rude and has a mouth on him. The way he also treats his wife in front of customers is enough to make me never want to go in again. He’s beyond rude and he knows everything and you know nothing. If you are a woman then good luck. I swear he hates women. My last experience has completely turned me off from this store. There are much better gun stores around with much friendlier staff.
Geez. That’s crazy. I can understand wanting a weapon you want them to work on to be cleared. Then just have a clearing barrel at the entrance and ask folks to wait by the clearing barrel until staff can ensure it is cleared. But controlling open carry? And having confusing signs is just a recipe for something to happen.

I own Pend Oreille Ballistics up in Priest River. The only time I ask a customer to make a weapon safe prior to entry is when we’ll be manipulating a firearm for some reason. Otherwise, come on in with your firearms. Open carry or concealed. Moreover, I’m not here to critique a customer’s choice other than to suggest options better suited to their stated intended use or to impart some information based on decades of training and experience from the military and medicolegal death investigations. I want my customer, especially the novice, to feel heard, appreciated, supported and happy with their purchase.
the rest of the gunshop performance is b.s. but i can kinda understand the “leave the gun in the car first” there’s unfortunately a lot of idiots who say the gun is clear when its NOT and risk nd’ing into the shop or they point it in unsafe spots. is the idea there? yes. is it overkill? very much so yes, but i also wouldn’t like the thought of some diptard putting a hole into my shop wall or another firearm, much less a person
And I think the best way to deal with that is when someone comes in with a gun, ask them to wait by a clearing barrel first. Then clear the gun and proceed. But we are also told he will not allow open carry, so, he is on the list regardless.
Been there twice a long time ago, the big boy has a bad attitude. I have heard that the business is in his wife’s name because of his felony record. There is no reason to do business there when there are so much better choices close by.
I visited this store today. Both of the people in the store, including the older one with the beard were very nice. It is a smaller store with 2 room separated by a doorway. You can not see into the other room from the front desk, probably why when someone goes into the other room a person is followed. The store is very well stocked. I asked about the signs on the door and they said it was for insurance reasons and to prevent people from handling loaded weapons. The owners seem to be good Christian people, They even have a rack of free bibles to anyone that wants one. There is even a sign on the window offering free bibles. You can see it in one of the pictures in the article. I asked them about this article and they thought it was unusual considering they donate to 2nd Amendment causes all the time. They said they believe they had even donated to Greg Pruett in the past. It makes wonder if there is a hidden agenda behind the article? A gun store is not anti-gun if they allow people to carry in the store and only want weapons that will be handled to be cleared and safe. That is a reasonable policy in my mind. If what they said is true this article seems misguided. Is the I2AA going to become the grammar police? If they do not like how a sign is worded, you get put on a list? Why would Greg Pruett take money from a company it has labeled anti gun? The store was puzzled by the article but was also forgiving and said they would pray for the writer. If you are in the area you should stop by and make your own choice if this store is right for you. I for one, will be coming back.
I am not sure they have ever donated to us or not. The store restricts open carry inside the store. That will land you on the list regardless.
As far as the other signs, if the goal is to keep someone from bringing in a gun, that is going to be worked on; there are far better ways to communicate that. The signs indicate that it doesn’t just apply to a gun you are working on. It implies that it’s for any gun, including the one you are carrying.
Regardless, they have a ban on open carry, so they are on the list because our criteria is simple: if you restrict citizens from open and/or concealed carry, you are implemeting a policy the gun control crowd wants you to do.
This is the worst gun store I’ve ever been in. Not because of the products they carry, but because of their attitude toward customers. I’ve only been in there once. The owner asked me what I was after, and I told him I was a first time visitor and just wanted to look around. He shadowed me the entire time and made me feel like a criminal. Too bad for him, because he had a rifle in stock that I would have purchased, but for his behavior/attitude. I’ve never been back and never will.
My wife and I were in that shop when the owner brutally chastized a young female employee for a mistake until she was in tears.
When the AR15 parts, magazines, and gun shortages happened a few years ago, this shop wanted to charge me an extra $50 for a part.
