In what has to be one of the most bizarre additions to the Idaho Anti‑Gun Accountability Center, a Nampa gun store has now joined the list.

No, that’s not a typo. Yes, it really is a gun shop.

Alpha Omega Services Armageddon Armory in Nampa has the strangest firearm‑related signage (all 3 signs posted at the end of the article) we’ve ever seen. The store prohibits open carry, discourages bringing firearms inside at all, and then posts a third sign saying concealed carry is allowed, as long as it stays concealed. If you’re confused, you’re not alone.

Three signs on the front windows deal with firearm handling, and none of them agree with each other. One sign tells you to leave your gun in your vehicle if you want to bring one in, and then notify sales staff for a “safety check.” It’s unclear whether the staff are supposed to walk outside to your car, perform the safety check in the parking lot, and then escort you back inside.

Another sign says that if you’re bringing a gun into the store, you must get help from sales staff before entering. So what exactly is a patron supposed to do, crack the door open and yell for a safety check?

Finally, a third sign says concealed carry is allowed, but only if the firearm remains concealed. So does this happen after you’ve left your gun in the car, completed the safety check, and then reholstered your firearm to bring it inside? The entire process reads like a bad comedy sketch.

What’s worse, the Google reviews for this shop are shocking for a gun store in Idaho. In Idaho, a gun shop should have stellar reviews, because it’s Idaho. How do you mess up being a gun shop in Idaho?

The store sits at a 2.2 out of 5 stars from 172 reviews (as of this writing), by far the lowest we’ve ever seen. And it’s not even close.

Most negative reviews mention someone known only as the “bearded guy.” According to customers, staff follow you around like you’re a criminal and yell at you if they notice you’re carrying a firearm.

Here are just a couple of the reviews:

Gregory Douglas: “This store is a joke. Most everything they sell is extremely low end. Poor selection of new firearms. Don’t come here expecting friendly service either. They are very cold and pretentious. Which is surprising for a low end shop. By far the worst in the valley.”

Eddie (excerpt): “By far the absolute WORST gun store in the valley! I was followed around the store for almost 10 minutes… I asked if I was doing something wrong, he said, ‘Not yet.’ … The bearded guy (owner) proceeded to tell me I didn’t know what I was talking about… He cuts me off and yells, ‘The manufacturer don’t know what they’re talking about!’ Then he asks if I’m buying anything, and before I could answer he tells me to leave.”

Riley Bryant (excerpt): “Zero stars. I’ve had the same or very similar experience to every negative comment you read here… I heard him tell a mom and her two adult sons that ‘don’t buy a SIG, if you break a single part you will not be able to buy a replacement part at all.’ I pulled up Sig’s website to show them parts are available. He yelled at me that I’m lying and they will never sell a SIG to anybody.”

There are some positive reviews, but they are few and far between.

While it’s not uncommon to see big corporate stores like Walmart post anti‑gun restrictions while still selling firearms, seeing a local gun shop adopt anti‑gun rules, and ones that don’t even make sense, is something else entirely.

And the signage doesn’t stop there. The front of the building is plastered with a dozen other notices, including one stating that minors under 18 cannot enter without a parent. So a 17‑year‑old Idaho kid can legally buy a holster, but apparently can’t walk into this store to do it. What exactly are these people doing?

We even asked several AI models to explain the signs, and needless to say, even AI was confused about what the signs were asking. All AI models said the signs all contradicted each other.

Regardless of what the store sells, it is going on our anti-gun list, and we do not make exceptions simply because it is a gun shop.
