The Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls is loudly advertising its anti‑gun stance.

One of the main entrances features a massive “No Weapons” sign, easily as large, if not larger, than the anti‑gun signage we’ve seen from St. Luke’s. Speedway staff allegedly do not wand patrons entering the facility. If that’s true, then what’s the point of the giant sign? It’s security theater, not security.

Racing is a sport with a heavily conservative fan base. That doesn’t mean every fan is conservative, but look at NASCAR demographics as a sample, it’s overwhelmingly right‑leaning, and everyone knows it. You would think local race tracks, including Magic Valley Speedway, would understand their audience.

If a venue is going to ban firearms, the least they can do is provide actual security. Instead, Magic Valley Speedway disarms law‑abiding Idahoans while offering no meaningful protection in return. Criminals aren’t deterred by signs, and responsible gun owners shouldn’t be treated like a problem.

Magic Valley Speedway has earned its place on the Idaho Anti‑Gun Accountability Center.
