When a young Idahoan was ambushed by three violent attackers at a Jackson’s gas station, he did what every law-abiding citizen hopes they never have to do—he fought back.
Backed into a corner, taken to the ground, and beaten with fists and feet, this employee stayed in the fight. And when he had no other option, he drew his concealed firearm and defended his life.
Police are now holding his firearm as evidence. But thanks to Boise Black Rifle, he won’t go another day without the means to protect himself.
Rob Adams, owner of Boise Black Rifle, made a promise—and he kept it. The shop gifted the young man a replacement handgun, no questions asked. Adams shared the story on Facebook:
“As promised, we made sure this young man didn’t go another day without the means to protect himself.
His story is nothing short of incredible — a true testament to courage, focus, and the will to survive. When three violent attackers ambushed him, he stayed in the fight. Even after being brutally beaten with fists and feet, he kept his head clear. As a last resort, he drew his concealed firearm and defended his life.
When we heard his story and learned his firearm had been taken as evidence, we knew we had to act fast. We replaced it immediately — no hesitation.
This is only possible because of YOU — our followers, customers, and the entire Black Rifle Family. Your support allows me to give back in moments like this. For that, I am forever grateful.”
This is what community looks like. This is what the Second Amendment is for.
We commend Boise Black Rifle for standing with this young man—and for standing up for every Idahoan’s right to self-defense. When the system takes your tools, your neighbors step in. That’s the Idaho way.

It’s awesome they did this. He may be looking at retribution from friends or relatives of the slimeballs he fought with.
