Caldwell Hospital Has Typical Usless “Gun-Free” Zone Signage

West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell has the same anti‑gun signage we’ve seen at every Idaho hospital so far, “No Weapons” posted at each public entrance. As always, we’re supposed to believe criminals will read a small sign and suddenly abandon their plans.

This is the only full hospital in Idaho operated by HCA Healthcare, a Tennessee‑based company. Like other hospital systems, they rely on blanket anti‑gun signs instead of acknowledging that “Gun‑Free Zones” don’t exist outside of marketing slogans.

Idaho gun owners can legally carry inside the building. The signs do not carry the weight of law. If staff notice you’re carrying, they can ask you to leave, and refusing could lead to a trespass charge, but simply entering armed is not a crime.

Gun owners deserve to know which institutions still push anti‑gun policies, even when those policies do nothing to stop violent criminals.
