The city of Mountain Home has passed a resolution making it a Second Amendment sanctuary city.
Idaho Second Amendment Alliance members and supporters emailed the council, urging the passage of the resolution. The room for the city council meeting was also much fuller than usual, we are told.
Councilwoman Jenny Wirkkala proposed the resolution.
Councilman Scott Harjo made the motion to adopt the resolution, which Wirkkala seconded. The resolution was adopted unanimously.
Mountain Home is now the 12th city to pass a Second Amendment Sanctuary resolution. Additionally, two counties have also passed similar resolutions.
