Breaking: Five Injured in Fort Stewart Shooting, Suspect Apprehended

Five soldiers were injured today in a shooting on Fort Stewart in Georgia.

Quornelius Radford, a 28-year-old active duty soldier on the base, allegedly did the shooting. According to Commanding General John Lubis, Radford used a handgun to carry out the attack.

All five victims are in stable condition according to Lubis and are still being treated. The names of the victims have not been released until the next of kin are notified about their status.

According to Lubis, a handgun was used in the attack, and the military does not believe Radford held extremist views or that it was a terrorist attack.

Most military installations have security at the entry points, and vehicles can be searched for weapons, but each car is not necessarily searched in depth.

Lubis stated that Radford had no military disciplinary actions against him; however, Lubis said that Radford did have a DUI in May, but they were unaware of that arrest until today.
