Brad Little Snubs Gun Owners Yet Again in State of the State

Governor Brad Little has once again ignored gun owners in his State of the State address.

(See my video about the launch of the 2026 Idaho legislative session here or below.)

That shouldn’t shock anyone. His predecessor, Governor Butch Otter, routinely did the same thing. The truth is, Idaho hasn’t had a real leader on gun rights in a very long time.

“But Greg, aren’t Idaho’s gun laws good enough?”

No. Not even close. Until the rest of the country looks at Idaho and says, “Holy cow, Idaho is by far the best place in America for gun owners,” then our leaders still have work to do. We expect them to actually lead.

It’s not that they’re openly anti–Second Amendment, but it’s obvious that protecting your rights is not their priority.

And sure, because it’s an election year, they’ll probably toss gun owners a breadcrumb or two, just like they always do. But that’s not leadership, and it’s certainly not good enough.

Where are the lawmakers who will make defending and restoring the Second Amendment a top priority?

In the coming days, we’ll outline the many ways Idaho can strengthen gun rights during the 2026 legislative session. The time to act is now. You are the reason this fight continues.

Any idea how many open carry where at the Capitol address?
1….only 1 displayed at the People’s house.
They will never get the picture, unless you show them the picture.
Complacency is consent.
I was stared at by many including Capitol Police, which was respectful and attentive. A point made.
