Despite Bruen Ruling, New York’s Violence Keeps Declining

The State of New York has continued to see a decline in violence, despite the U.S. Supreme Court’s Bruen opinion.

Bullet Points: Remember all the doom and gloom that was supposed to take place as a result of Bruen? Apparently, in New York, that is not the case.

  • Violence with a firearm is at its lowest level since 2006, when New York began tracking data.
  • Over the last year, there has been a 9% drop, including a 15% drop in victims of shootings.
  • 28 police departments across the state are participating in the data collection initiative.

Gun Owner Takeaway: No matter what gun laws are passed, the gun control crowd always claims that doom and gloom will be the result.

There were dire predictions when Idaho passed Constitutional Carry, and nearly nine years later, none of those predictions have come true.
