Colorado Bans Many Semi-Automatic Firearms

Colorado is working feverishly to outdo California and its insane attack on the 2nd Amendment.

Gun owners in Idaho should be paying close attention to what our enemies are doing in other states. Make no mistake, if they are doing it in other states, gun grabbers won’t hesitate to do it in Idaho if they ever get the chance.

Senate Bill 25-003 bans most semi-automatic firearms that accept a detachable magazine and the bill was just signed by Gov. Jared Polis.

Despite the U.S. Supreme Court’s Bruen decision, which mentions “in common usage” as a standard, SB 3 essentially tosses it out the window. Most of the firearms that will be caught up in SB 3 are “in common usage.”

If you want to try to get any of these weapons, you will have to pay fees, undergo government-mandated training, waiting periods, and much more. The bill takes effect in 2026.

Colorado is stripping the 2nd Amendment away from its citizens and demanding they repurchase it. A challenge will surely come from the Supreme Court down the road, but a once “red” state has gone deep blue.

We can’t let Idaho get anywhere near this insanity, which is why the ISAA fights for you each day.
