Teacher Carry Bill Moves to Idaho House Floor

A new bill, HB 415, would allow teachers to carry a firearm in K-12 schools if the teacher (and anyone under contract with the school) has an Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit.

The bill passed out of the House State Affairs Committee on a party-line vote, 11 to 2.

The ISAA supports the bill, but believes it could have been much stronger, and in particular, more options given for how the firearm is secured.
