We’ve already documented several Saint Luke’s facilities across Idaho that post oversized anti‑gun signs at their entrances, and the Nampa locations are no different.

At the main entrance, there are no metal detectors, yet the same large “no weapons” signs appear throughout the St. Luke’s system. Despite the lack of actual screening, security guards are reportedly asking visitors whether they’re carrying any weapons. If you tell them you are, you’ll almost certainly be asked to turn around, and if you refuse, you’d likely be trespassed from the property.

But let’s be clear: there is nothing illegal about entering with a firearm for self‑defense. Idaho law does not prohibit carrying in a hospital. The only consequence comes if the hospital discovers you’re armed and chooses to trespass you.

Meanwhile, criminals will ignore the signs every single time. These policies disarm only the people who follow the law, the very people who are most likely to stop a threat, not create one.

Gun‑Free Zone fantasies don’t make Idahoans safer. They just make them vulnerable.
